How Evoke Protects Your Bitcoin and Inheritance Data
Beyond our non-custodial architecture, Evoke takes your personal data and account security seriously. This article explains how we protect your information and what principles guide our security approach.
Account security
- All account data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256)
- We enforce strong authentication measures on all accounts, including optional hardware security key support
- Access to internal systems follows the principle of least privilege
- Regular security audits and penetration testing
Your inheritance data
Your Digital Asset Schedule and inheritance documentation are encrypted and stored securely. This information is only shared with your nominated contacts through the liveness check escalation process, or downloaded directly by you.
Importantly, your inheritance data never includes private keys or seed phrases — only information about where those secrets are stored. This means even in a worst-case breach scenario, an attacker could not drain your Bitcoin using stolen Evoke data.
What we don't do
- We never sell or share your data with third parties
- We never use your portfolio data for analytics or marketing
- We never contact your heirs or nominees unless the liveness check protocol has been fully exhausted
- We never log into your account or make changes on your behalf without explicit authorisation
Compliance and standards
Evoke operates in compliance with UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. We maintain records of processing activities and honour your rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data.
